What We Do

Family Promise helps local communities coordinate their compassion to address the root causes of family homelessness. We address the issue holistically, providing prevention services before families reach crisis, shelter and case management when they become homeless, and stabilization programs once they have secured housing to ensure they remain independent. We tap existing local resources to empower families towards economic stability. Families come to us in crisis; we help them rebuild their lives with new skills and ongoing support.

Diversion

Preventing families from becoming homeless in the first place with Shelter Diversion, Rental Assistance and Transportation programs.

Provide

Family Promise of Missoula is spearheading an innovative collaborative shelter model with the YWCA Missoula at the Missoula Family Housing Center, a program of the YWCA Meadowlark.   The Center serves families of  all compositions, often providing their only shelter option in our area. 

Prepare

​Helping the families we serve not only succeed today but remain stable in their housing, financial capability and career paths tomorrow.

Community Initiatives

Family Promise understands the needs of vulnerable families. So, we offer innovative programs – such as tenancy preparation, financial literacy, and virtual career pathway training - to address them in a cost-effective, targeted approach.
