Family Houselessness Prevention Program

MIC’s Housing Advocate Network provides limited prevention supports for up to five families at a time, including intensive case management and financial supports, with the purpose of diverting potentially shelter-eligible families from the Family Housing Center.
The purpose of the Family Houselessness Prevention program is to decrease shelter reliance for families that might benefit from intensive case management and immediate financial support, thus ensuring that shelter availability remains for families without alternative options.

Classism exists in our country and it is often difficult to bridge the gap between the classes when working together. We will explore these challenges and hopefully leave with a better understanding of who we.
Mary McCourt is a third generation Montanan, having been raised in Butte and Kalispell. She has a BA in Social Work and has worked in a variety of settings over the last forty years. Her real interest is in how to understand her own middle class white privilege. Equity can be reached.
